The NMU baseball team may have found the pitcher of the future at their tryout yesterday at
the Superior Dome. Known only by the name Greg, the 5'6" righty tossed fastball after fastball in excess of 90
miles per hour. The mustachioed hurler then wowed onlookers with a curveball breaking nearly two feet.
"His breaking ball looks like it fell off a table," NMU Pitching Coach Tony Bettis said. "If he stays healthy
he could be a challenge for GLIAC hitters for the next four years."
Though not much is known about the young man, such as his age, hometown, or last name, his appearance was a
welcome surprise to Manager Rob Preseau.
"I compare him to one of our stars last year, Jim Pool," Preseau said. "He has the stuff to intimidate hitters."
